Trencadís is the technique to make mosaics with irregular forms, generally with glazed ceramics, which you can decorate and cover flat and curved surfaces with, containing different dimensions.
During Modernism it was a technique widely used by great architects such as; Antonio Gaudí, Jujol, Domènech and Montaner, Puig and Cadafalch.
Barcelona is a great exponent of period work such as Park Guell and Palau de la Música amongst others.
The kit has emerged as a way to get started in this craft-based technique with jobs having small formats. It is an authentic and creative craft which you can spend time learning and relaxing your mind with, as the craftsman in his workshop.
The kit is made entirely by us, with different product lines in a catalogue inspired both by Modernism and Barcelona.
It consists of a template with the design, a colour photocopy of the piece, instructions, white glue, and cement glue for the finishing and bags of ceramic tiles with the necessary colours to cut, fit and glue. Tools are not included.
